Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our journal hosting platform

AS Cloud is a self-service journal publishing platform offered by Academic Stack. It allows users to create, launch, and manage academic journals with full peer review workflows, custom domains, and Open Access-ready features — all without writing a single line of code.

Not at all. AS Cloud is designed for editors, researchers, and institutions without any IT background. Everything from setup to domain binding to editorial workflows is fully hosted and guided.

Yes. You can bind your own domain, and AS Cloud will automatically generate HTTPS certificates. Alternatively, you can use a subdomain provided by us.

Every newly created journal undergoes a brief manual verification process by our team to ensure compliance with academic standards and legal regulations. Once approved, the warning will automatically disappear.

Your journal will be paused, but your account and data will remain available. You can manually download or copy your content if needed.

AS Cloud currently supports one journal per domain. However, you can use subdomains (e.g., journal1.yourdomain.com, journal2.yourdomain.com) for different journals. For full multi-journal support, consider upgrading to our Enterprise version.

Each journal comes with a homepage, submission and peer review system, editorial dashboard, DOI and ORCID integration, metadata export, email notifications, and more — all optimized for Open Access.

Yes. While each journal has its own setup and domain, you can manage multiple journals from a single user account.

Yes. All journals are hosted on secure infrastructure with HTTPS enabled by default and regular backups. Your data and account access remain available even if the journal is paused.
